Overview

This course reviews the definition, characteristics, and epidemiology of human trafficking and provides readers with strategies to identify, assess, and address cases of human trafficking. While almost 90% of human trafficking survivors have contact with a healthcare provider during their abuse, most nurses do not have specific training in identifying these

victims. After completing this course, readers will be better equipped to advocate for victims of human trafficking.

  1. Define human trafficking with the AMP model and differentiate between its various forms.
